Business French

This course is designed for students who wish to acquire a French terminology in business and commerce and for professionals who need to use French for communication purposes within their company.

Course objectives:

  • Learn how to use French for professional communication purposes;
  • Compare socio-economic issues in France and Canada;
  • Improve grammar skills;
  • Increase or gain knowledge of French in the fields of economics and commerce.

This course is in three parts (which can be taken in any order), with two different themes each:

  • Part I: Key economic players/Entrepreneurs
  • Part II: Human resources/Marketing
  • Part III: Professional correspondence/Economic trends

Note that this course is a valuable preparation for the DFA1 (Diplôme de Français des Affaires 1) and DFA2 (Diplôme de Français des Affaires 2), both of which are offered by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Duration: a 24-hour session for each part, over 8 weeks
