CHILDREN & TEEN COURSES

Alliance Française de Toronto offers programs at all levels for all groups of students, from the age of 8 months to 17 years. Students are placed in groups according to their age and level. Our activities are geared towards the interests and abilities of young students throughout the school year and during our summer camps.

Since September 2008, AFT students aged ten and above have been studying with a new French-as-a-second language method. The latter embraces the progressive curriculum established by the E.U for all European languages and further adapted to many languages worldwide. The AFT is the first language-teaching institution in the GTA to incorporate in its syllabus the language requirements and levels recommended by this contemporary and international approach.

Notably, as a teenager of a child, you will then be able to:

  • be aware and better measure your degree of proficiency at all times, allowing you to write exams for international diplomas, tests and accreditations with confidence
  • centre your language education around your personal and professional objectives
  • progress more rapidly from one level to the next in fewer sessions
